Layla Hosseini-Gerami talked with Nature Custom Media about how AI is transforming science, and more importantly, how we ensure accountability.
“The synergy between the AI and the scientist is what will lead to success,” says Hosseini-Gerami. “We don't believe in AI making all the decisions. We believe in using AI to gather information and generate insights, which a human can then look at, understand, challenge and validate.”
Over 90% of drugs fail clinical trials, more than half of these failures are due to safety issues. At Ignota Labs we use AI to identify and fix the root cause of safety failures, re-engineering better versions of drugs.
